Understanding the Tattoo for its Removal Process

However, the tattoo once designed could be faded mostly but cannot be permanently removed. In some cases, it is seen that the tattoo gets virtually removed. It is dependent upon the effectiveness of the method or remedy used.

It is also equally dependent upon the coloring used in the tattoos where some of the hard or tougher colors are hard to be removed or faded. On the other side, the lighter colors are easy to be faded which sometimes could be as good as completely removed.

It is about the blue, red, and black colors which are quite easy to treat for removal. Colors like yellow, orange, purple, brown, and pink are quite tough to treat. Even tougher to remove are light blue, green, teal, and neon colors. When it comes to laser or Q-switch methods of removal then all the colors are treated equally well. But, this is more challenging and important to note when trying out the home remedies for removal.

Home Remedies for Tattoo Removal

In recent years, home remedies for tattoo removal have become quite popular. It is not always recommended especially because of the slowness of the process. The results are also not perfect and are highly dependent upon the nature of the tattoo as discussed above.

To say the least, you must avoid any of the store-purchased balms or miracle creams. It is because the majority of these creams don’t work. They are almost always not approved or endorsed by FDA. In the same manner, avoid DIY chemical peels as well for obvious reasons. They are not effective and may trigger adverse effects on your skin.

If you want to have your tattoos removed at home the natural way then there are some tried and tested methods to be considered. They will bring different results depending on what method you use. Nevertheless, the following is a brief description of some of the best home methods to treat tattoos:

Aloe Vera Solution

Aloe Vera is an excellent agent for the removal of tattoos from the skin. This works best when combined with honey, salt, and yogurt. The procedure requires you to take 2 tablespoons of the Aloe Vera gel. Mix it with a couple of tablespoons of honey, a couple of tablespoons of salt, and the same quantity for yogurt. Apply the prepared solution to your tattoo and soak it within it for at least half an hour. Once done then rinse it with warm water.

Salt & Lemon

This is the solution that has shown very promising results in tattoo removal of different types having rigid colors even. For this method, you need to have 100 grams of salt mixed with a little portion of lemon juice. Lemon juice should be added in good enough quantity so that it forms tick paste with the salt.

Once the mixture is ready then you should use a cotton pad which should be soaked in the solutions and subsequently applied to the tattoo. Leave it there for about 30 minutes or even more. Then, rinse it with warm water.

Salt

This is the simplest of all home remedies. It asks you to use table salt which should be applied in a slightly moist gauze sponge. Then, you must sand down your tattooed skin for half an hour or so with it. The idea is to continue till the time when you see the area turning into dark red color. After that, apply some antibiotic ointment over it and then cover the tattooed area for about 3 days or so.

If you are consistent with this procedure then you might see desirable results in a week. That should be the time when you must peel off the top cover and lay off the skin’s top layer while chipping right away at the body art. The most desirable results can be seen in six to eight weeks if you perform this procedure with consistency. This method is productive but may cause infection at times as well.

Homemade Cream

You can make a tattoo removal cream at home which will be safe and better than the ones available in the market. You need to take a tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel, a couple of Vitamin E capsules and a tablespoon of Paederia Tomentosa leaves gel. Mix these ingredients and your homemade cream is ready. Apply it on the skin and soak for 10 minutes. After that, rinse the area using gentle warm water. Repeat this process four times daily and for a week.

The majority of the above solutions should be repeated more than once to get the desirable results. It is also advised to try more than one solutions where one might work better than the other in your case. These home remedies are usually safe and harmless. However, you must be ready to accept some scarring and a bit of faded paint on your skin.

Conclusion

The tattoo removal can be done at home. It is an economical and sometimes easy process. But, it is not the most effective one. The results using home remedies for tattoo removal could take two months or even more at times to work. On top of that, the results might not be close to perfection as what you could get quickly with laser treatment.
